We have been working for many months on the Car Connectivity Consortium Digital Key applet certification test tool.
Dealing with product vendors made us wonder how can a car OEM or a secure element vendor do to easily configure a DK applet to perform tests on OEM equipment or cars. Managing secure elements, certificates and secure channels is not trivial when it is not one’s daily business so we came up with the idea of the dkBOX 😀 (we do have similar solutions for eUICC management and secure element management).
This is a tool enabling to easily configure a Digital Key applet, loading certificates, configuring ‘cars’, etc. It can be achieved by pressing buttons or by saving the sequence in scripts that can be rerun over and over.
So it’s a tool targeting developers to repeat specific tests but mostly field engineers supporting their customers or car OEM’s seeking some testing autonomy.
We are very enthusiastic about the development of the automotive ecosystem so if you think of additional use cases, feel free to contact us so we can integrate them.
